Gift of magic is about a young couple the does not have a lot of money but is also not poor. Della is a beautiful women or young lady with long pretty hair. It is Christmas eve and she only has $1.87 to buy a present for her companion. A vary main idea of this story is sometimes you have to give to give. Della new that if she wanted to get Jim something she would have to give something and it wasn’t money.
She found a lady that buys hair and Della wit her pretty hair knew that she would be able to get some sort of money for her hair. The lady gave her 20 dollars for her hair. She went and bought him a present a vary nice chain that is used to hold a watch. she new he would like it. Jim was never late and being never late meant that he checked his watch a
lot.
A vary big moral of this story is that Jim did not care about the gift. or her hair being gone. he loved her regardless. He didn’t need to present from her to show how she loved him as he had her life was still going and the world was still turning
