Well Della is a wife married to 22-year-old man name Jim that she is deeply in love with. And so for her Christmas she thought she wouldn’t be able to live whit her self if Jim didn’t get a gift for the holidays, So she got together all the money she can get her hands on but she was only able to get a $ 1,87 so she went out and tried to get the perfect gift for Jim, but the perfect gift that she wants for him is eight dollars so she found a madam that would buy hair so she ask her how much would she buy her hair she said $20 and so Della said yes and so she gave up her hair and bought the gift for Jim and so when she return home she started to worry about the way her husband would think about her so she waited till her husband came home and then when he finally came he look at her a way she never would expected from him so she ask him not to look at her like that so when her husband talk to her he told her that what she did reflects the way of the three wise men.
